BEV - Nestlé to invest €472 million in Italian pet food factory

Nestlé is investing €472 million in a new pet food factory in Mantua, Italy, set to be completed by 2027. The 180,000-square-meter plant will employ 300 people and focus on wet pet food production. This move recognizes Italy's strategic importance for Nestlé in the growing pet care sector. Nestlé Purina PetCare, a major player globally, is expanding its manufacturing footprint with investments totaling $2 billion between 2020 and 2025. This includes recent openings in North Carolina and upcoming operations in Ohio, aiming for streamlined and efficient production.
