John Law

Advisory Board

John Law brings four decades of banking expertise to his role, with extensive experience in marketing, structured finance, and risk management in both the UK and Italy, having served at three prominent banks. Resident in Italy since 1993, John has held key positions managing credit, operational, and compliance risk functions at Barclays, Deutsche, and HSBC. His portfolio covers large and mid-cap corporates, leveraged and acquisition finance, financial institutions, non-bank financial institutions, and work-out scenarios.

 

In addition to his banking career, John has made significant contributions to the British business community in Italy. He served as President of the British Chamber of Commerce for Italy for six years, from June 2010 to June 2016, and currently holds the position of Vice President. Furthermore, he serves as a Non-Executive Director on the Board of Governors of the British School of Milan.

 

John's dedication and achievements in promoting British trade and investment in Italy were recognized with an MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire) in 2015. His extensive experience, leadership, and commitment to fostering bilateral business relations make him a respected figure in the banking and business communities both in Italy and the UK.
